Established in 2000 Foxley Tagg Planning Limited uses an innovative approach to all town planning and transport planning projects.

Our dedicated team have significant experience in the public sector, having worked for local authorities at county, district and unitary levels. This has given Foxley Tagg a unique insight into key governmental processes, procedures and protocols enabling us to use our excellent planning policy understanding to negotiate successful planning applications securing planning permission for our varied client base.
In addition to mainstream town planning application and related transport planning issues, we have recently been actively involved in the self build arena through DCLG and the National Self Build Association working to support and enable the potential that this sector of the housing market has to develop.
Our reputation for adding value in all these spheres is based on sound professional skills and an ability to work with complex projects to find a successful negotiated solution. With special expertise in project management, sustainable transport projects, transport assessments, travel plans and unlocking development potential our commercial awareness provides an important element which large and small developers will find advantageous.
Our methodology is based on a ‘hands on’ approach, taking the time to understand a clients needs and find a realistic route to secure planning permission and hence deliver the aesthetic outcome that is desired.
Equally however we continue to recognise the economic realities and to our commercial clients offer alternative views where appropriate to enable our clients to achieve the best return for their investment.

Sally Tagg MRTPI
Managing Director of Foxley Tagg Planning Limited

Sally is a Chartered Town Planner, who has worked in both the public and private sectors, with extensive experience of the housing development industry.
In 2000 she formed Foxley Tagg Planning Limited, with its Head Office in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and has subsequently developed her business interests and now undertakes projects throughout England and Wales.
The nature of the projects undertaken by Foxley Tagg Planning over the past sixteen years have comprised a wide and varied range of schemes including self and custom build, sport and leisure facilities, large scale housing projects, commercial/retail schemes, conservation and listed building projects, together with bespoke smaller housing schemes.
Sally’s role involves strong negotiation and project management skills, together with the ability to put together a robust planning argument which is grounded in policy and legislation.
In addition to the preparation of successful planning applications and managing them through the planning process, Sally and her team use this first hand experience to train Local Councils in respect of the planning process and best practice.
Sally is also the ‘Planning Expert’ for the Homebuilding and Renovating magazine, where she provides direct advice to members of the public and publishes articles on all aspects of town and country planning.

Mark Tagg, Finance and Commercial Director, FoxleyTagg Planning Limited

Mark qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1986 but quickly merged his passion for sport with his working life. He joined Worcestershire County Cricket Club as their first accountant in 1986 and enjoyed 18 years at the club progressing through the ranks to become Director of Finance and Operations. During his time at the world famous County Ground time he successfully project managed the delivery of the 750 seat “Basil d’Oliveira stand”.
In 2004 Mark moved on to become Chief Executive of Northants Cricket and began a process of modernising a ground with much potential. This included the installation of two new stands, LED scoreboard and 6 state of the art floodlights. In addition Mark was central to a move to relocate the Playing for Success (PfS) funded Steelbacks Study Centre from inadequate premises to a new custom built facility on the site of a former bowls club. These brand new facilities enabled the Study Centre to continue its invaluable works with local children providing both education and inspiration in a sporting environment.
Mark also combines his Finance Director Role at Foxley Tagg with that of Chief Finance Officer and Company Secretary for the National Custom and Self Build Association (NaCSBA) CIC supporting its work as the main lobbying organisation for the Custom and Self Build industry.
