Foxley Tagg were responsible for the project management of the entire planning process, which included a complex Environmental Statement, management of detailed architectural input and development of a residential Travel Plan.

This flagship urban regeneration project, developed by Crest Nicholson (South)| Ltd, has led to the sensitive redevelopment of a former gasworks site in central Poole for over 500 residential units. This is a large and complex project, which needed to address site contamination and remediation issues as well as design, transportation, access, hydrology/ecology issues and affordable housing provision.

This high-density, high-quality urban renewal scheme has set the pace for the dynamic and comprehensive reshaping of this part of the town. Foxley Tagg were responsible for the overall project management of the entire planning process, which included a complex Environmental Statement, management of detailed architectural input and development of the first Residential Travel Plans in the UK.

The 512-unit scheme, which

blends together a range of accommodation types and tenures around well-designed avenues and vistas, including “play streets” and provision of social spaces which will allow residents to interact easily. Located within easy walking distance of Poole town centre and the historic Poole Quay, the scheme has also enabled major improvements to the local ROUTEONE bus service.

In January 2009 Foxley Tagg provided training for Planning Committee Members and Professional Planning Staff at Brecon Beacons National Park Authority.

Location: Brecon Beacons National Park

Client: Brecon Beacons National Park Authority

Development: Provided training for Planning Committee Members and Professional Planning Staff

This training covered a wealth of topics relating to planning, Development Control and Appeals, and was specifically tailored to the needs and learning aims of the Authority. In this case the training was designed specifically to cover Welsh policy, and issues associated with National Parks. As with this client we can develop the course content to focus on specific issues and to suit your local area it terms of case studies and legislation.

A key strength of the training courses we provide is the approach used, which is presented by qualified practicing planners and provides not only detailed theory supported by real case study examples but also involves practical exercises. This provides officers/other trainees with real experiences of the different procedures and situations that they are likely to find themselves in.
